There seem to be thousands of varieties of cotton, so finding the best cotton for your bed may take some preparation. Bed linen may be labelled with "Egyptian cotton," "Pima cotton," "American Highland," and so on. As many as the different names refer to the length of the cotton fibre and thus the quality. Egyptian cotton has the longest fibre length and is considered to be the softest of all cotton fabrics. Pima cotton is the second-longest fibre and is considered to be the second-highest quality.
